Revealed : The new 2013 Aprilia Caponord 1200

Aprilia has revealed the successor to its Caponord adventure motorcycle. The new motorcycle is named Caponord 1200 and is derived from their maxi-motard Dorsoduro 1200. The new motorcycles sports 1200cc liquid cooled V-twin engine against the 999cc V-twin of the previous generation Caponord. Its scheduled to be launched some time in 2012 and is supposed to rival the likes of Ducati Multistrada, BMW R1200 GS, Triumph Explorer 1200 and some more. It'll come loaded with all modern electronic aids like riding modes, ABS, Traction Control and semi-active suspension(capable of changing settings on its own depending upon riding style and road conditions). This motorcycle will be available at Aprilia dealerships in India soon after its global launch.

This one is manual. The automatic one I talked about is Mana Gt, 850cc and is less expensive. Suspension is capable of changing settings like compression, damping and rebounding.

Getting on is not a problem, getting off is a problem when it happens suddenly, when you need to put your foot down and the road is sloping or something.

Still vividly remember the review of BMW R1200GS by a European Magazine, where the author reviewing it was 5ft 5in and had to each time lower the side stand, before stopping at red lights :D
