    3 Dead bodies found on the Kalkindee Trek route - supposed to be of foreigners - a couple had gone trekking 5 years back without permission and are missing since then.

    RIVERS of UP also slowly getting flooded - so plan your trips accordingly
    The water in UP rivers rising slowly to dangerous levels

    Latest and instant - Chamoli Badrinath highway blocked near Patalganga due to massive landslide - more than 5000 pilgrims trapped.
    No signs of any officials at the site yet - when will it open - no idea
    Shortage for food in the region so before proceeding get information and then only proceed

    Yamunotri Marg remains closed since Tuesday 31 July 2012 and still continues to remain closed due to landslide, work is in progress and when the route will open officials are not telling. The landslide area is near Uttarkashi.

    They have already killed Ganga and now organising grand party on its remains!!

    Massive Cloud burst in Uttarkashi- Flash floods in Uttarkashi region - 9 people dead, Many villages flooded, few bridges washed away.
    High alert in Uttarkashi- ITBP, Army called up for relief. Many govt houses also flooded with water. Continuous rains in the region though less at the time of writing. Climate is really bad and can become worse. Bhagirathi showing its strength.

    Kosi River above danger levels at Rampur.

    Dhari devi bridge also submerged, Dhari Devi Mandir flooded with water in the lake formed on Alaknanda river

    am at uttarkashi only, very heavy damages seen on assi ganga valley.. A bridge on gangotri highway 5 kms north of uttarkashi washed away... shall upload pics

    CHAR DHAM YATRA STOPPED BY GOVT ORDERS

    26 People dead in flash floods around Uttarkashi and many missing. 50 -100 bathers missing
    Ganga flowing above danger levels in Haridwar

    Cloud burst at 5 places in Assi Ganga area - 4 major bridges damaged, Firebrigade building also damaged some officials dead
    Cloud burst at 1 place in Bhatwari area
    Assi Ganga region is the Sangamchatti area - trek to Dayara Bugyal, Dodital, Darwa Top.

    Rains continue in the region of Uttarkashi, all bathing ghats in Rishikesh submerged.

    Gangori Bridge on Gangotri Highway washed away - a Baily bridge will come up may be in next 7-8 days.

    Authorities issued a flood alert as the level in the Chenab, Tawi, Ujh and Basantar rivers approached the danger mark in Jammu.

    In Himachal Pradesh, the police evacuated people along the river as flash floods hit Solang Valley. As river water levels rose, many vehicles were stranded on the Manali-Rohtang Pass. One death was reported.


    The Chandigarh-Manali National Highway was closed. Border Roads Organisation personnel, with the help of local authorities, were providing relief to the affected people.


    In Uttar Pradesh, two children drowned in the Ghaghra in Azamgarh. The Saryu and the Ghaghra were rising. Houses in villages of Barabanki and Faizabad districts were washed away.

    Not a good news for the tourists who are stranded at the Highways.
