Come as you are!
Good job yogesh..Some more inner areaa stuff I would like to add to this list before i forget, might help people traversing the NH 22
Chandigarh - jalori pass: 262 kms via sainj,292 via Aut.
Sainj - Jalori: 54 kms
Aut - Jalori: 42 kms
Shimla - Kaurik: 337 kms
Shimla-Narkanda: 65 kms
Narkanda-Sainj: 30 kms
Narkanda-Rampur: 66 kms
Rampur-Jeori: 25 kms
Jeori - Sarahan: 17 kms
Jeori-Wangtu: 41 kms
Wangtu - karcham: 34 kms
Karcham - Sangla: 18 kms
Sangla - Chitkul: 29 kms

If u are stuck before narkanda due to heavy snowfall on the NH, then u can follow this route which will bypass most of the NH and get you to Dharampur or if you please, directly till Pinjore. But be careful, these roads are single inner roads, and not as well kept as the NH. The route is:
Turn right towards Luri from sainj but continue straight instead of going towards jalori
Luri-Sunni: 49 kms
Sunni-Dhami: 45 kms
Dhami-Shalaghat:10 kms
Shalaghat-Arki:12 kms
Arki-Kunihar:10 kms
Kunihar-Dharampur: 34 kms
Or
Kunihar-Nalagarh-Pinjore: 85 kms

Above data is courtesy HPTDC, so no need to thank me :D. Similar chart is also given in the beginning of Nest and Wing Himachal Pradesh Map, which is what I believe Himachal.us has posted.

Vaibhav did you do that route personally? If yes then how scenic and fast is it, compared to Nh route?

Yes Yogesh, i did this route personally. Infact the distances mentioned above are courtesy the readings on my bike:D (Leaving out Kaurik)

I was tired sick of the NH, so i thought of trying this route. The view is pretty much the same, this route is at a lower altitute than the NH. But the advantage is its relatively clear of traffic, apart from a few trucks here and there

This thread will be lost in some time. How about putting this info on the portal.
Also how about approx driving times.
For example
1. Delhi Narkanda by car = 10 hours
2. Delhi Dalhousie = 13 hours
3. Delhi Shoja = 12 hours

Average speed for most of the vehicles, on the safer side;

In Lower himalayas/ Shivalik region: Average speed of 35-40 km/hr
In Lesser himalayan zone : 25- 30 km/hr
Upper Himalays/ depending upon terrain: 15-25 km/hr

Above is a very generic sort of figures to work out average time for distance to be covered, though there are streches in Upper himalayas, where 80 km/hr can also be acheived. Add for stoppages & breaks
