More than a month after I started this travelogue while on the road and from the hotel in Dwarka, I have come to the end. This was the longest road trip we have ever taken, and undoubtedly the best so far. Vibrant means "Pulsing or throbbing with life or full of life and energy". While Gujarat is definitely vibrant and offers really diverse options for tourism, it left us Vibrant and raring at the start of the new year. There are still so many places that we could not cover, but those are for another day and so are many we would definitely like to visit again.

End Credits

My Wife for keeping notes while we were on the road, which I referred later while writing the details. It would not have been possible for this log to have been as detailed without these notes.

My Son for enduring this long road trip without once complaining.

Finally thank you everyone for following, helping out with your suggestions and kind comments. It's the encouragement and appreciation that makes one share more. Please feel free to ask any specific questions and I will try to answer to the best of my knowledge from the experience. Or send me a PM with your query.

The END.

Though I am planning my travel in November while reading your log....its feel like I am already there!
Amazing narration! Would definitely share the pictures of your son with my son....to build the tempo...He is superb excited too!

The log is a definite bible (as mentioned by many) for anyone who aims at a successful road trip to Gujrat! I was thinking that Gujrat tourism (rather amitabh) can make a mention of this log link ;)
Thanks a tonne!

As I am planning to visit Gujrat in Dec 2015, I change my plan after reading your thread. I am now wanted to stay at Hodka ( may be in Mehfill-e- Rann resort) two nights instead of my earlier planning for staying one night. And the other I changed to visit Narayan Sarovar, Lokhapat Fort area from Mandvi and reach Bhuj. Is it ok ?

Thanks Sudipto for your comments. If I understand correctly your base is Mandvi you will go to Narayan sarover and Lakhpat from there and onwards to bhuj. That should be fine if you plan to spend more time in mandvi to visit the palace, beach etc.

It's a good plan. Only suggestion is that you should do dholavira from bhuj as from hodka you will have to go from bhuj for dholavira. So finish dholavira and then go to hodka from bhuj. Please ensure you have confirmed booking at the government hotel in dholavira as there is no other accommodation available.
