That turn is little tricky... The road which is in perfect condition takes u to Bhutan border.. And there is a kaccha road towards the left goes to morshing. From that junction till 25kms roads were pretty bad and almost kaccha road.
That route is too adventurous. Learnt it in a hard way.

Though I have not gone in December, based on my reading various travelogues, it is good to go in December if you can withstand the low temperature.

December is a good time to visit Tawang. But anything after last week of April it starts raining in North East and one cannot easily go to Tawang crossing Sela Pass.

Is it good in Feb... other than the cold.. seems like there will be rain too, almost through feb... and will Sela be snowed in or accessible?

AFAIK, Sela is open throughout the year. Rains start from post mid April. I don't think it rains in February. Anyway others can pitch in for this information.

I'm sorry... this seems like I'm asking for predictions :D... I meant... generally what's it like?

Completed the log in one sitting.

I started for Arunachal in November last year, but could not proceed much beyond the Tawang circuit, thanks to a freak accident due to which I broke my left ankle. I had to come back.

Zemithang I deliberately missed. After reaching the Sangetsar Lake, I abandoned the plan to reach Zemithang, because till then I knew I was going to cover other parts of Arunachal which would be more beautiful than Zemithang. The accident happened the very next day.

But I made it to Bumla and Sangetsar on the same day! Did not know about the restriction in the afternoon, I probably came back to Y junction at 11:45, had some Maggie and coffee at the Army cafeteria there and then started off for Sangetsar. touched it at around 1:30 pm, and then came back via Y-junction to Tawang at 4:30 pm. It was awesome.

Sorry to hear about your ankle injury. Hope you have recovered well in time.

I do have a desire to cover eastern part of Arunachal Pradesh. Let's see.
