Mumbai-Kolhapur-Belgaum-Dharwad-Kalghatgi-Yellapur-Ankola-Kundapura-Udupi-Mangalore
Drive carefully between Dharwad-Ankola.

That’s a good route. Mumbai to Kolhapure is via Pune. You may choose to stop overt at Belgaum for the night,
