Hello,

I'm planning a road trip to Chaukori for my short Honeymoon. I'm planning this trip at the end of April.

Possible for you to guide the best route to take during this journey, we need scenic view also safe for driving.

We're thinking to start early from Noida, and then please suggest where I should halt for the night stay and next day we'll make it to the Chaukori.

If you want to stay at a popular hill station, then Nanital and Bhimtal is a good bet. Though make sure to book accommodation in advance.

If you want to stay at a somewhat off-beat place a little further ahead, then Bhowali and Ramgarh have some good resorts and quaint bungalows you can rent.

You can also easily make it to Chaukori, if you do not mind driving for 12-14 hours.

Thanks Yogesh, I need some offbeat places so I'll search something in Bhowali or Ramgarh. How's the road condition from Nainital to Chaukori?

Apart from Ramgarh, you can also look at Mukteshwar/Sitla, both places have some good properties. There is a road that goes from Muktehwar/Sitla to Almora, that joins the main highway few kms before Almora. The road is in excellent condition.

In Mukteshwar, call KMVN and check whether the Forest guest house they had taken over and renovating is ready? Rumour has it that Jim Corbett used to stay there (cannot confirm though). Location is fantastic and views are great.
