Rather than switching to Carb on EFI's that would cost around 10-12K,i would recommend a Race Dynamic ECU for CL500 which costs about 15K for the programmable one and 10K for the basic one.

To supply proper air-fuel mixture based on the engine requirements, the opening of the throttle (butterfly valve) by the rider prompts the piston valve to adjust its position so that the venturi depression is maintained as constant. The opening of the throttle is communicated to the Carb via a TPS!!

Today I went to the RE showroom and I saw the Standard 500. It looks retro-ish but I wasn't impressed though!

Plus it has black clutch and brake levers vs the chrome ones in the CL500 and also has sort of different rear view mirrors! Fuel tank has some pinstripes too.

Looks like the air box is not in use here - probably the hose connects the air filter to the carb directly.
Wonder if that box allows some storage space.
