Wow... Looks jhakaaas...!!! How is the comfort level while doing long rides.... I ditched the Electra seat and put standard 500 seat on my bike. Its good. But could not do more than 100 kms at a stretch, Recently drove a meteor. Man what a ride. Except the little stiffened rear suspension, the ride quality s amazing. No fatigue and I could do around 150-180 kms in a stretch without taking a break cruising constantly at 90 - 100 kmph. RE has taken the refinement to another level. The saddle seat of Meteor is amazing. I wonder if that seat is available for Electra. I enquired few places in Chennai. They have come close to the shape of it, but the firmness and comfort is still missing from that of meteor. They have asked me to come next moth and check out.

Also saw the new bullet 350 STD/ES with J platform engine in the dealer store. I guess gone are the days of vibration for RE bikes. Enquired with them and they informed they are launching it in August. So the entire stable of RE bikes will come with J Platform engine and they are doing away with UCE. I guess RE is taking their game seriously with the Triumph 400 and Harley X400 around the corner, they don't want to miss out on anything. But to be honest Harley X400 is underpowered bike. It only churns out 27bhp when compared to Triumph 400 which generates 40 bhp. Its the same issue people had while comparing HImalayan and KTM Adventure 390. Himalayan 450 is also due to be launched. Lots of spec sheet doing the rounds in the internet. Will have to wait till they release official spec sheet. Hope it is not underpowered as the outgoing Himlayan.

Any thoughts on this @Mandar_C500, @Royal_Beast

I think power / torque figures on paper didnt show the real machine. What is important is to check what suits you, your riding style and your preference. Only testride (maybe longer one) will help you to decide. I have few friends who were very happy with Duke 200, but not able to connect well with 390.
Also avaliable power and usable power are 2 different things.
Take a decision wisely.
