Shanti Guest house – Leh
Highly recommended.
Situated in changspa, just below the shanti stupa, 1.5 kms to main market.
Nice,large clean rooms with excellent views. Changspa as usual is very cool place.
Bathrooms are large, clean, hot water available 9-11 am, 5-7 pm.
Restaurant at basement in Nice hall, with ladakhi style sitting. They will provide hot/boiled drinking water.
Only thing – parking is to be done on road, but safe.
A small garden.
Rate Rs 400 for double room.
Owner and staff are Tsering phunchok and dolkar.
They are owner, staff, cook, farmer, guide…..everything.
Tsering is very good cook, even better than his wife.
He is from small village of zangskar, and started his carrier as guide in Chaddar trek. He is still arrange this in winter at very low cost.
