I stayed at Shanti Guest house in May 2008, a quiet place away from the bustle of Leh.

The owner and his wife are really beautiful people and you will get a picture of Leh's hospitality.

We were there pre-season, and the whole place was empty except for a Foreigner couple.

We paid Rs300/- per day for our room.

Owners Tsering and Dolkar very courteous, allowed my wifey to cook in the kitchen ( had aloo ka parantha and bhindi of our taste )..

This room rent is from June 2010 or else? I inquired through e-mail & they (dorjey) replied that a double bed room costs 600rs with breakfast!
Please clarify!

Firstly,yes he is correct,Rs 600 with breakfast, i opted without one.

Right now I am in Leh and staying in shanti guest house. Mr.Tsring is very nice and I am paying Rs 500.00 for double bed room without any meal.

Good value for money and cleen bed and toilets. I reccomend this guest house for every one.
