And I consider myself the biggest one, truly deeply madly in love with Chail, its an ideal weekend destination. I have been to Chail for around 20 times in last 8-9yrs.Another fan of Chail and The Palace
Another wonderful place to stay is Tarika Jungle Resort.
However, somehow missed this Sharma Vaishnu Dhaba. Will visit this place for sure on my next ride/drive to Chail.

Shooken jee I am a most punctual visitor to Chail since 1979. Earlier when we used to do lot of biking Chail was visited minimum twice a month. Sharma ji ka dhaba (Janed ghat) is most ideal place. You must also (if not) visited the Horticulture park 2-3kms before chail if you are coming from Kandaghat. (park your vehicle on the main road do not take it in). Been there, done that sir ji, on my 2nd and 3rd visit around 7-8yrs back.
But yes, your record of visiting Chail since 1979 is something really hard to break. I mean I love it so much that I generally avoid going through Shimla and take this route most of the times. That too despite of the awesome 20-25kms between Kandaghat and Tara Devi, after which the traffic makes Shimla almost a nightmare for me.

Same here Shockin Biker....I also took the Chail route while riding to Jalori....
Its such a wonderful ride through those mesmerizing roads...
