Came back from my 5th trip to chail , yester night.Would highly recommend two things in chail 1) Kapoor uncle ka dhabe , which is located adjacent to hotel kailash at the end of lower market of chail. He is an old man managing the joint since 1955.A wonderful person with exceptionally godd skills in culiniary.Serves only veg meals still, simply lip smacking.
2) Do visit Kali ka tibba (Suggested by kapoor ji only), a kali mata temple hardly 6 km from chail. It is situated on top of the hill & on clear day you can even see the Shilla highway. The temple is newly built (in 2004) , very neat & clean & beautifully maintained. The route is (Chail mkt - lions resort- after lions drive for 500m there is a T point , from where if u tale right you will go to sadho pull. From that point take left, after 4 km. you are in paradise.
1) isn't that kailash hotel owner's brother's dhaba? but he serves both veg and non veg?
2) true about kali ka tibba! One feels as in heaven, when we went there clouds were floating and the experience was surreal, though the roads are a bit tricky for inexperienced driver.

Is there a Dahaba run by a Nepali person near to Sharma Dhaba or both are same places, as we stumbuled on this place while on walk around the palace. It had started raining "cats and dog", we took refuge there. Rajma Chawal and kari pakora were excelent. I forgot to take the name of place but further in Kufri was told about this Nepali person running the show back at chail.
