I could not be able to do that trip due to incessant rain predicted during the days of our journey and therefore we postponed the trip.

Oh this weather can really be annoying at time to time. So planning it on near future? I guess still kind of rainy season there

Oh, that's unfortunate, it's annoying how the weather can destroy our travel plans sometimes. I hope you'll be able to do the trip in the future.
