Thanks...

Overall it looks to be a relaxed travel plan. However July being Monsoon month, rains can play spoilsport as the region of Kinnaur is known for bad rains leading to road closures/landslides. Infact rains can hamper your travel on Killar to Bairagarh stretch as well.
Day 6 is very ambitious and tough to manage.
No permits required anywhere as per your current plan.
Stay options available everywhere, the quality may vary.

Ride safe!

Chitkul in my view would be a better bet.

Chandertal to Killar in a day would be difficult. You can spend the night at Sissu, it is en route and beautiful. Next day you can easily reach Killar.

Keep 1 day as a buffer, since monsoon will arrive towards the middle of your trip and Gamphu onward you can face torrential rains, which can easily block the road.

As for places to see en route, well Nako Lake, Gyu Mummy, Tabo Monastery, Dhankar Monastery, Kungri Monastery, Key Monastery, Kibber, Gette, Chicham, Guru Ghantal Monastery, Trilokath Temple you can cover in Spiti, Lahaul and Pangi Valley. After that your schedule is fairly fast paced, so you will only be able to cover the major places in the cities you will be staying at.

Since Chandrataal - Killad not doable, should I opt for below option. Sissu is too short a ride and will consume an additional day.

Option:
Chandrataal - Udaipur (whats the distance, google currently shows around 600Kms). I want to minimize the usage of buffer days till I reach Bairagarh.
Udaipur to Bairagarh (distance is 140, Is this doable)

Regarding fast pace, I get bored to soon unless something exceptional :)), so trying to catch things on the go. But I were to invest more time or shorten the circuit what else can be done?

I am open for realigning Day 6 & 7, without consuming additional days. If left with days, can look at staying longer at Dalhousie/Dharmshala. Whats your cent.
Would you consider July 01 - 14, season-time. Reason I ask, to understand if I need to do prior hotel booking or on-arrival.

Don’t go by the distance on Google Map, reality on the ground is going to be very different. You will be averaging around 20-25 kph max till Gramphu.

Now you have stoned me.
Ok you are suggesting to halt at Sissu before moving to Killar.

Now guide me, can I get stay at Sissu without advance booking. If yes, then shall start early from Chandrataal, try to make it to Sissu in 3 hours time (say by 9am) then do you think one can ride to Udaipur (another 100kms) by 3pm. Asking to check if some nalah dependencies are there.

Apologies for repeated queries on same point.

If you can make it to Sissu in 3 hours from Chandertal, you can easily make it to Killar and have a fighting chance of crossing Sach Pass as well :).

Based on you statement, I am now apprehensive if I can reach even Udaipur from Chandrataal :)

Please review on the revised itinerary and highlight:

Day1: Chandigarh-Narkanda
Day2: Narkanda- Rampur- Sarahan- Sangla- Chitkul (please help me decide)
Day3: Chitkul-Rakcham-Sangla-Karcham-Reckong Peo-Kalpa- Pooh – Dubling – Khab – Ka – Nako
Day4: Nako - Mud
Day5: Mud-Chandra Taal
Day6: Chandra Taal- Udaipur (worst case Keylong)
Day7: Udaipur (or Keylong)-Killar
Day8: Killar - Bairagarh (Is this doable)
Day9: Bairagrah -Dalhousie
Day10: Dalhousie - Dharamshala
Day11: Dharamshala-Amritsar
Day 12: Visiting Golden Temple, Jallianwala Bagh & Wagh Border
Day 13: Amritsar- Chandigarh (reach by 7PM)

Now day 14 is buffer, since have a Mumbai return flight on day 15.
