"Storage Water Heater/Geyser" with long lasting tank & element

As the weather is making water stored in overhead tanks (plastic ones, Sintex, etc.) pretty cool for some of us, I'm looking for another "Storage Water Heater/Geyser" with long lasting tank & element in 15L or 25L capacities only.

Any idea how does A.O. Smith performs, and what price do they charge for such a premium(?) product?

My main concern is that it should be able to withstand the armageddon with Noida's famous hardwater!

I would be completely unwilling to pay a premium for A.O.Smith geysers!

Go for Spherehot, Racold, Venus or other tried and proven products.
It is still possible to buy geysers with copper or stainless steel tanks!

Thanks for replying SirJi!

Even I'm apprehensive of picking up an unnecessary premium product, but then no other company is giving a long duration warranty for its element and tank.

Copper tanks & elements are prone to hardwater calcification and thus get busted in one season itself!

Noida water is wellknown for its antics, hence I'm looking for something which can last for some 2-4 years without any trouble.

Our old CG geysers are working fine in MV-Delhi, but in Noida they are as good as local conterparts.

I think Venus geysers are worth a dekko, coz they claim that their tanks are porcelain enamel coated, and it helps them work in hard water for pretty long time!

Racolds are good, but we had a not-so-sweet experience with these plastic bodied geysers with 'fragile' elements, and much more grotesque A.S.S.

Can you please give some weblinks of geysers with tank & elements which can last for couple of years (in Noida) without requiring any attention?

IIRC in my professional meeting with the Delhi Distributor of A O Smith, he clearly mentioned that it is priced almost at par with other good brands.

Edit: You stay in MV then howcome Noida is in picture?

@Amit:
Please try to obtain prices of residential models of AO Smith.

WRT your query, we have one more home in Noida.

Careful!
Calcification may bust the element but surely not the copper tank?!!

I think you should opt for Venus Myst. 10 years warranty for the tank and three years for everything else.
Welcome

Thanks AnupJi.

But Venus Myst is priced (might be MRP only!) at :r:8,970 for a 15L Vertical unit... that puts it vulnerably close to AO.Smith's!

And yet, A.O.Smith does not offer a competing warranty! :)

This also has something to do with peanuts and monkeys!
