Friends I'll be visiting Delhi in 4-5 days and I'll be having 4-5 hours in my hand to spend as per my whim... I want to do 'hop in and hop out of metro' trip... please suggest worthy places accordingly alongwith their corresponding metro stations... I'll be starting from AIIMS... please omit qutub minar as I have visited it very recently... and I already know of Lotus temple route... suggest the rest of the gems :)

Anunoy, You can go to Chattarpur Temple.(second largest temple complex in India). Chattarpur Metro station is there on the Huda Centre Metro line.
Else you can go to Akshardham Temple. Metro station is there too.

Rest Delhi's heart Cannaught Place(you might have visited), Chandni Chowk, Karol Bagh, South Ex Market.
If you are interested in monuments, then Red Fort, Humayun's Tomb, Safdarjung Tomb, India Gate, Jantar Mantar.

Full Use Else Lose
Donot go to Akshardham Temple.
They'll not allow you to take anything with you inside. Cloakrooms are as usual, not reliable!

For Chandni Chowk, get down at Chawri Bazar Metro Station, come out... explore... and then re-enter to take another Metro from Chawri Bazar to Chandni Chowk.
Explore Chandni Chowk, visit Red Fort if time permits.

Else, alight at Pragati maidan Metro Station for Purana Qila (Old Fort, one of photogs' fav location in Delhi), National Zoological Park, High Court, Supreme Court, India Gate, National Stadium, Nizamuddin Dargah, Humayun's Tomb, etc. in vicinity.

thanks treklover....
I've been to CP/rajivchowk (lover's chowk rather) before... unfortunately I don't enjoy tasting quality food solo... in such situations I prefer monuments
no akshardham... there photography isn't allowed!
