Suggestions for a 10 day trip in May

Hi Folks,

I am in a confused state currently.

My family and I want to go on a trip in May. Key criteria to quote my daughter "There should be mountains, greenery and snow" :)

Now I have considered the following choices:
1) Kumaon - Corbett, Pangot, Kausani, Chaukori, Munsiyari, Binsar, Sattal
I feel there might not be too much snow. Perhaps March was a better month for this trip.
2) Kinnaur& Spiti - Shimla, Sangla, Kalpa, Tabo, Mudh, Kaza
Great option but with Kunzum La closed in May I will not be able to go to Chandratal. Which effectively means that I will go to the entrance of the temple but not pay obeisance to god
3) Sikkim - Tickets are already costly and I feel November will be a better time to go with early planning.

So any other options to suggest?

Regards,

Chetan

You can going to Spiti if not Chandrataal !
Snow on roads not possible.
Plan Srinagar then to Sonmarg, Pehalgam, Aru etc...

As there is less snowfall in North India, I guess, Kunzum La must be open by last week of May 2016.

I am also planning for a similar trip around 20th May, Delhi-Hatu Peak-Kalpa-Nako-Tabo-Kaza, yet not finalized.

Make my base in Kaza for 3 days and go to Pin Valley, other near by area, for one day/half day trip. For Kunzum La and Chandratal would book a taxi from Kaza, as my car is SWIFT petrol, so would avoid Kunzum La and Chandratal self driving..
