Rather innovative....is the Thai sauce your idea?
Yup. :p
And why not. It did foot the bill rather nicely. The recipe called for sugar and honey and chilies. Chilies went in. Sugar went in and so did the thai sauce bringing sugar, garlic, vinegar, more chilies in play, so why not.
Do try at home. I am sure your household would come one up.

I'm sure it must have tasted divine...my wife has been shown this post and preparations are underway.

There are only two conditions :
- Do post the recipe, pics and your experiences.
- Do "Maro a little more tadka" to it.

You can call me anytime you like

Ooops. Typo... I meant Brazil but don't know how Spain crept in. I know you are in brazil and I am reading your log. Best of journey. Do post lots of food pics and do bring in some spices even local.

Gullo ji.....i returned from Brazil a week ago. but i shall be going to Brazil again and i will look around for some spices for you. i was walking the streets, markets of Rio all day and i saw no spice shops or any local brazilian masala or such. but will ask around next time....

Thanks jeepcp.

Thanks rupinder. You can use honey instead of thai sauce. Adding chilies enhances the sweetness of the honey and sugar. When we tasted the muffins they were not hot, rather a welcome mix of sweetness and some bite.
But remember three things
- keep the batter wet.
- Let it rest for some time
- and add some more leavening agents like baking powder. You can also let the batter rest for a while and then add the baking soda and baking powder at last, so that the gasses released are kept trapped.
Thanks Sir, I'll definitely try soon. even I am curious now to taste something sweet with chillies, let's see how would it turn out
