News articles point to TATA motors unveiling TATA H5 at Auto Expo 2018:
  1. Q501 - 5 seater - 140 HP - tuned 2.0 Litre Fiat Multi-jet II engine .
  2. Q502 - 7 seater - 170 HP - same as engine on compass.

Rumors points to on Pricing:
  1. Q501 5 seater - price starting at Rs 13.0 lakhs [13 to 15 lakhs]. My view this would be priced at 15-19 lakhs
  2. Q502 7 seater - price starting at Rs 15.0 laks [15 to 20 lakhs]. My view this would be priced at 17-24 lakhs

I doubt this pricing can be achieved, when you claim to build on LR Discovery L550 platform - well interiors are to be customized and going to be different.

Well I hope Tata is not going to repeat the mistakes:
  1. Tata Hexa: Driving seating position - Never easy for driver to get in and get out of the car!
  2. What Renault did on Kaptur: The Rear entry and seating of Kaptur is too horrible and I am surprised why this flaw was not noticed by Renault. When Rs 10 lakh plus car is bought by people, rear entry and exit should be easy.

Going by Nexon standard - the Nexon car was showcased in Auto Expo 2014 and finally launched in 2017.
So I do not expect these 2 cars to be out in the market before 2020.

By then we do have a good competition of new entries - like KIA motors. I am not sure what is their strategy is, to be premium over Hyundai cars?

In next 5 to 7 years time period the world is expected to move towards electric! Where will all the planning stay?

Let us hope for the best.

I read this link: Tata teases its Auto Expo 2018 line-up

One of the comment read:
I am loving what TATAs are doing with thier new launches, but how I wish if they also come up with a unique TATA MOTORS logo, the current one gives me a feeling that of their trucks, as they use same logo for commecial and private passenger segment. Cant imagine a replica of JLR coming up with front grill same like their trucks.

Look at the perception: Does not Mercedes Benz use the same symbol on Truck, Bus and cars. Same goes with NISSAN. This is acceptable to Indian Public.
If NISSAN and MB can do it why not TATA?
TATA's make lot of experiments. I do agree that INDICA contained lot of experiments, there was whole lot of changes done looking to fix issues. They have come of ages.
With recent product launches they are improving over time.

With all the excitement around these new SUVs and going by the news so far, they should be released latest by Q1 2019. Also Tata should undercut the Creta for Q501, (or make it more or less in the same range if this turns out a superior product) to make it big. Hope these turn out to be worth the wait. The auto expo should make things clearer.

Ankit,
I do not think Tata is going to announce the prices in Auto Expo 2018. They will be announced just before launch.
Worth to keep a tab and look at the cars.

Of course, they wont announce any pricing yet. I meant the expo should bring some clarity on these offerings in terms of quality, size and features vs the competition and hence should hint where exactly these are going to be places
