If u notice the first pic it shows a two story hut earlier there was a small blue and white hut, may be 1/4th the size of the present one but the people are the same.... warm n loving as ever.

Thanks John Mathai,

Nothing much to add, the pakoras and cutlet were excellent and sipping the kangra tea on the lawn, coupled with a great weather, was divine.

This could be a good place for a quickie weekend stay.

Indeed it is a nice place for a weekend, but, alas, it is fully booked on many of the weekends now due to the Jaypee University that has come up about two kms up the road. This place has become very popular with parents visiting their kids at the university.
Time was when even in June rooms were available at Kiarighat, before it was renamed The Apple Cart Inn.

And here are some photos from our recent (24 June 2013) trip there:
The chicken cutlets were as good as ever!

ya, not just the parents, even the people from chandigarh use it as a weekend destination to unwind.

We stopped for tea and snacks on way to shimla and i saw three elderly couples having snacks on the lawn, they were staying there.
