Actually, these electric scooters may encourage people to lose weight. A 100 KG man might get a range of 80 miles and a 50 KG man might get a range of 90 miles.
Petrol / Diesel Prices are is going up in India day by day.

This is only hope to move to electric vehicle.
But life of a electric vehicle is very limited and resources to power it also has its limits.
Elon Musk entered in India and this started to happen.
Economically EV is only good for short distances only for certain kms for now.

It is not that prices are going up. It is the government forcing people to adopt EVs. The problem with most developed nations is that their economies are not growing and they have figured out a way to use the disruptive nature of technology to create jobs. I call it social media inertia. The traditional auto industry is reeling. The best way to create new jobs is to make people abandon their gasoline-powered vehicles and buy EVs. To make EVs cheap, you need a huge demand for them. Paris accord, government incentives, high petrol tariffs, free EV charging, etc. are a way to push people towards high demand.

Unfortunately, this whole thing is against free-market dynamics. In a free market, a consumer decides what is good for them. This is nanny market economics where the government tells you what is good for you. Ironically, companies like Tesla bet on demand for EVs in the developing world and not for their demand in the USA. The idea was that with high demand for EVs in the developing world, Tesla can reduce their cost for US consumers as well due to economies of scale. But I am not sure about this whole thing. Anytime you depend on generating demand in a foreign country and anytime government comes up with business plans, you start rooting for failure.

If India cannot fund Covid-19 vaccines for its people, it sure cannot fund sufficient EV charge stations. And that public-private thing will no longer work because the private part of the funding comes from people who have money and those people are Americans. Indian government with its restrictions have burnt American investors so much over the last decade that there is no interest among Americans to fund anything in India. India and Germany are two peas in a pod. Both will find ways to make American investments less desirable.

Delhi–Mumbai Expressway is India's First Electric Highway covering 5 states in its route Haryana, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, and Maharashtra. This highway reduces the travel time of Delhi to Mumbai from 24 hrs to 13 hrs. Electric Highway in this route helps to reduce pollution as well as crude oil imports. The Delhi–Mumbai Expressway will be completed by 2023.

Sweden debuted the world’s first electrified road near Stockholm. South Korea and China also have been investing in solar-powered electromagnetic roads which recharge cars and trucks wirelessly to charge of EV batteries and reduce carbon emissions.

Near Sandviken, in Sweden, 2 kilometers of the E16 motorway have been electrified to allow hybrid trucks to charge while on the move. It is a catenary system and the trucks use a pantograf, just as trams or trolleys. It's a pilot program co-funded by the European Union, but the Swedish project managers want to extend it to a longer stretch of motorway so that more trucks riding to and from the port of Gävle can use. Similar projects are being implemented as we speak in Germany and USA and may become a large scale solution for fossil-free heavy goods transportation on intense trafficked european roads in the next decade.

You can see why I do not see any future of EVs in USA. All these ideas are plane nonsense excercises in idiotic government spending. If you do cost analysis then electric trains are always cheaper. Electric highways are the stupidest ideas of all times. The trucks with constant electric connections are not going to change lanes. If there are repairs needed for that lane then the entire lane needs to be shut down. The cost of installation of electric wires and their maintenance on top of roads is never a good idea. Thank God that America is Capitalistic country because these ideas are socialist ideas, which are nothing but a bunch of nonsenses to us Capitalists.

I like Electric Train with facility to load your trucks or cars according to demand. Make special Racks for this as this will be the future and even working currently in India also at Goa side - Konkan Railways for Trucks only.
Delhi - Mumbai same can be done according to demand. This route is always busy. For Cars also many tourist destinations want this facility but no one likes to fulfill it as it is holiday based mostly. But this can be done easily for samll scale in starting.

There is no doubt that the time will come that all of the things we use in our everyday lives will be electric or battery powered. It will reduce pollution but can it really help in reducing our carbon footprint?
