The way I drive is an expression of my inner feelings!

A big Hi to fellow motor-heads, travel enthusiasts and torque junkies,

My name is Narayan (as in the Indian god) and I live in Gurugram. I’ve read and heard so much about this forum for a long time that I had to come see what the fuss is all about and join the bandwagon with you awesome guys. I work for an MNC for a living, am a petrol-head by passion and a die-hard motorist by disposition.

My love for automobiles grew on me from my younger days as my Dad would bring me a whole collection of Hot-wheels, my uncle, (who was a frequent traveler to Germany) would bring me wall-sized posters of VW Passat, Beetle, Golf GTI and the likes,! Though my knowledge to technical side is limited, I am more towards the exploration, driving and DIY-ing side of it.

I drive a Skoda Superb MKII, 1.8TSI L&K with the notorious 7 speed DSG. Yea, oh lord! But unlike the horror stories which many would have ready in their arsenal, I have some good stories with this vehicle, fondly known as the “Brunello” (yea, out from the paint specifics Brunello Rosso) like the famous Italian vineyards. Basic upgrades include an 8-speaker Bose entertainment with stock Bolero, LED upgrades and tires upsized to match an NCR beating, LOL.

I’m happy to be married with another motor-enthusiast, who drives the baby TSI, Polo GT. Remapped in stealth to produce 135HP and 275Nm Torque mated with (another) 7 speed DSG, 18” Dibite with Nankang rubber and a few other mods making it quite a “Pocket Rocket” as it’s fondly named.

Previous ownerships include a 08’ Honda Civic 1.8 i-vtech, namely “The Silver Bullet”, upgraded with a 7 inch Android HU, 17” Honda Accord wheels, Napa Leathers, Dynamat across the body, ICE upgrades and the happy to revv stupendous engine along with a K&N filter. A 05’ Maruti Wagon-R 1.1 namely “The Red Wagon”, upgraded with 14” Hyundai wheels (worked wonders), Potenza GIII rubber, PU leather interiors, K&N air filter and some ‘jugaad’ sound deadening materials to make it quieter.

Despite a hectic professional schedule through the week, all my (well, as many) weekends are solely dedicated to my rides. (My wife hates me for that!):axe:

I love driving. Drove a couple of long distances from Ghaziabad to Pune, Mumbai; Gurugram to Vijayawada via Hyderabad and scores of trips to UK (the Indian region) and Rajasthan. It would be fun sharing my crazy travelogues here with you all.

I look forward to sharing my first-hand experiences with you on this forum. See you around!
