Time with Cameras

I don't remember where are these cameras now. I am sure I did not sell them.
Later when I entered collage, one of my relative working overseas loaned me his Praktica for two years. This is the time when I seriously got interested in photography and also this camera was my real learning tool.

After buying this camera my photography was paused due to my work pressure. Even though I was working for the film and television (I am still working in the same field) I hardly had any time for photography as a hobby.
After working for 10 years in Mumbai I move to Dubai.
Here I bought the Nikon F80 and F100 and few good lenses which unfortunately got lost at the airport with my baggage.

I was so upset I want to give up photography, but wife supported me and encouraged me to buy another camera.
This time I bought few photo equipment from one of my colleague who was migrating to US.
From him I got, FM2, F801, and F90,
50mm f/1.8,
20-35, f/2.8,
35-70, f/2.8
and 80-200 f/2.8.
here I was again with vengeance. Now I really got involved with photography and joined a photo club. Here I got the opportunity of teaching photography to others in the club. All this as hobby.
After I also bought a Nikon film scanner and a slide projector. I mostly shot slide film.

In the year 2000 I got an opportunity to use the first Nikon D1 digital camera. It was only 2 mpx, however the excitement of viewing the picture on the LCD and then immediately on the computer screen was tremendous.
But the cost forbade me to buy one. Then finally I think in 2002 Nikon came with reasonably priced D70 and I jumped on it.
I did shoot a lot with D70 because there was no cost involved with film and processing but still I found something lacking in the prints from digital files compared to slide prints.
I had never forgotten my experience with the Nikon F100 which I had lost and decide to get another one. I used to shoot with film and digital D70 together.

Around this time I learned about digital infra red photography and that Minolta Dimage 7 was good for IR. I bought the Minolta and the IR filter and enjoyed the IR photography.

After this Nikon introduced the D200 10 mpx camera. This was exactly like my favorite F100 but now a digital camera. I guess I bought one in 2006 or 2007.
Finally, I was satisfied with the picture quality and also the camera handling. So this was the end of film photography for me. I had about 100 film reel in my freezer which I held on for more than 5 years but then I finally donated all of them to a film photography club in Mumbai.

After this I bought D300 (now sold), D700 (sold), D800E, D4, D5 and also another D70 that was converted to infra red photography.
In between I bought the one inch V1 camera and lenses. I fell in love with this camera. After Sony came with a7 series camera, I was desperately waiting for Nikon to introduce a mirrorless full frame camera.
Out of frustration I was about to buy Sony a9 in September when I heard about the rumors that Nikon is introducing two mirrorless cameras next month. I'll wait and see.
Sony Middle East has given me on loan, a9 and 16-35 f/2.8 and 70-200 f/2.8. It is a fantastic camera and I can even say that I like it better than my D5. I will be using this Sony equipment for the trip to Ladakh in August 2018.
I hope Nikon has some answer to this Sony camera or else I will ditch the Nikon and go the Sony way. Imagine after using Nikon for more than 25 years!
I still have all the above cameras other than D300 and D700. I don't know where are the Agfa and the Yashica Electro 35.
So this is my photo timeline.
Thanks for letting me use your thread.
