Recently I have found myself really interested in creating timelapses and have been learning on how to create them.

Starting this thread to get comments/feedbacks from the fellow BCMTians for the timelpases you create.
I tried and search but didn't find any timelapse specific thread, but admins can merge in any suitable thread as they feel like.

Starting off with one of the timelapse clip I created recently.
Please be as honest as you feel while giving your feedback and how things can be improved.
Needless to say, please watch the video in full HD.

Gear used:
  • Canon 600D
  • Tokina 11-16
  • Neewer intervalometer
  • no tripod was used but camera was kept stable at the window of my apartment, so absolutely no shakes.
Camera mode: Aperture priority at f2.8

Totalclicks used: 770 pictures in JPEG format.

Softwares used:
  • AdobeLightroom
  • LRtimelpase 4 plugin for creating the timelpase video
  • Avidemux 2.6 (for adding the audio)
  • Audacity (for clipping the audio)
Will be creating few more timelapses as soon as I buy a decent tripod here in Montreal

Hi Amit,
Congratulations! This seems your first timelapse video.
Technically it looks fine however the framing is not to my liking. The foreground is too less.
The LRTimelapse is a very good software however, its main use is with raw files. Shoot raw next time.
All the best.

Great work Amit. My 2 cents...
Its great you started making the TL while there was some light in sky. It would have been better to start earlier.
A static foreground object is sorely missing here... Try to include something like pillar, monuments, signboards etc Even water, moving people, moving cars look interesting...
I know a slider dolly costs a bomb however panning the video in PP will add new dimension to your video.

Thank you very much friends for all the suggestions and pointers.
All of them duly noted and understood, will definitely try to come up with better TLs. :)
