Took the plunge and brought a DSLR

Finally, took the plunge and brought a DSLR.

Nikon D5300.

Plan is to click most of Lucknow before New Year.

Read most of the threads here and I must say, peepal are quite experienced.

Is there any beginners course in photography that anyone can recommend here?

Free of course, pocket still burning from the plunge :)
 
Congrats for Nikon D5300 !

Read Manual first casually.
Start experimenting 1 by 1.
use Automode first specially in day time. For night use flash.
After getting comfortable experiment with few combinations.

Rest experts can tell.

Thanks, I came across your post of 25 steps to buying a camera. It was quite intuitive.

The photographs are clicked on auto mode. I just did point, zoom and shoot. Nothing else.
