I have liked so many more, to pick 5 is really difficult ...

Sandeep there will only be 5 travelogues which will go on the home page and they can be from any of the sections. Though I do agree that travelogues from other sections, like for say West India (hint, hint ) should be nominated by more members.

quick question Yogesh, and sorry if this has already been answered (didnt go through the entire thread) -- the contest is for travelogues posted in the calendar year 2009, regardless of when travel happened?

there were many that impressed me, but cant find some of them now

Each travelogue is unique, special and has a different feel. I have to admit that I still have a Ladakh hangover so my reading list has mostly been from that section". So while there might be better ones for lack of reading them these are my five:
