Dear All, I am planning a 5 day trip in March end and want to know what could be some of the options. I 2ould be going with my wife and 22 kids - 10y and 5y.
I was basically looking for Goa (if it is not too hot that time) or Mahabaleshwar/ Lonavala but couldnt decide. Pls provide suggestions. Any other destination which can be covered in 5 days can also be considered. I know it is kind of a very generic query but I am looking for ideas and I need your help to plan now. Thanks in advance.

Thanks Gaurav. Will 5 days be enough to cover?

If you're flying in, then 5 days ought to be more than enough for Goa.

If you're looking towards a hilly destination, then Tirthan Valley and Kalpa would be beautiful at that time of year as well.

Kalpa, yes. Tirthan would be cold but not too much.

Yogesh Bhai, will there still be snow to play around at March end in Kalpa?

That would depend on intensity of recent snowfall at that time. You may also be able to witness live snowfall but that would be known only a week before.
Chilkul should have old snow in march end. It had when I was there, it even snowed lightly. Again it depends on overall snowfall in the season.

5 days are good enough for Goa if you are flying in. Mahabaleshwar and Lonavala are much better in monsoons.
Like Yogesh suggested, Kalpa or Tirthan both are good options for 5 days. Tirthan would not be that cold in March end and would start to get pleasant during day time unless a WD hits the region. Kalpa would be cold and you might find snow or live snowfall if a WD hits the region that time.

I am assuming your start point is Delhi. You can also try to explore the Kumaon region like Almora and Binsar or Chaukori/Munsiyari.
