Since I was not present at the location when these images were taken, its hard to imagine as what exact light conditions prevailed at that time. Going by mere images, I would rather pick up the 2nd image. Reason - The color of light emitted by the sun is complemented correctly by the tones in the sky. In the first image the tones appear radically inconsistent and unrealistic.

Amazing thread!I only wish I had the skills to post-process so beautifully as many have done! As Satinder said, all versions are so good, I too will accept all.The artists have interpreted the scene according to their vision!
