Came back last month after my fifth trip to the wonderland - Ladakh; second trip in Winters.

    Dates - 14th Feb - 18th Feb 2018.
    Mode of travel - Flight

    Day 1
    Delhi to Leh
    Flight AAI 445
The previous day flight was late by 4 hours, but fortunately our flight was bang on time.
Took right side seat this time and the sun was up by the time we were in air. So it was very difficult to focus.
Please comment if you are able to identify any peaks from the below images.

Day 1 Continued - Searching hotel in Leh.

Landed sharp 8AM and the oustide temperature was -6 degrees.
Met our regular taxi guy outside and went in town to search for hotel.
Did not book in advance as always since the rush of Chadar had died out so I decided to checkout options and book at spot.

Details of Hotels open in Leh in winters-
    1. Sia La Guest House, Fort Road - 2500 per night with breakfast. Have in house food and running water, central heating.
    2. Auspicious Hotel, Fort Road- 1500-200 per night. Have in house food and running water, central heating. (stayed here last year in Jan, he was giving good discount but decided to try some other place)
    3. Irfan Guest House- 1000-1300 per night. Electric heater, water in bucket, no food.
    4. Bharat Villa Guest House- 1300 per night. Electric heater, water in bucket, no food.
    5. Hotel Mount Castle- 1500 per night with breakfast. Have in house food and dining area. Water in buckets and electric heater.
    6. Hotel Cozy Corner - 2500 per night with breakfast. Have in house food and running water, central heating.

Finally we decided to stay for all four days at Bharat Villa GH. It had homely atmosphere and the owners are a warm family.

I would like to make a special mention for two places apart from Bharat Villa GH where we stayed.

    • Hotel Cozy corner- we had all our meals in the restaurant of this hotel and they were super delicious to say the least. Moreover they delivered dinner at 9PM to our hotel room also, which was a great thing since we didn't want to venture out in freezing cold at night. Everything from parathas to north indian to chinese was available at any time.
    • Second mention for Hotel Mount Castle- We did not stay here only because its not at fort road but located near the DC office. Otherwise it was a superb value for money place and the owner seemed like a great guy and promised a great service. I actually felt little bad while declining his offer to stay at his hotel, it was like a family member inviting you to stay.

Images are displayed in correct orientation on computer, since 5jru have rotation info in exif. However, for images you haven't clicked in upright orientation, they will come rotated in the forum, unless you rotate the image in editing software, before uploading in the forum.

Awesome Grand view of the peaks from Garhwal.

I would have definitely helped you out in mentioning the peaks listed on top 5 set of your pics with names as I am sure they are from Garhwal Region, but while downloading them I got an error for some format issue.

Peaks which are visible from your frame, top 5 frame to be precise are:-

    Nanda Devi
    Dunagiri
    Lampak
    Changabang
    Hathi Parvat
    Ghodi Parvat
    Nilgiri Parvat
    Oti Ka Danda
    Barmal Peak
    Hanuman Peak
    Rishi Kot
    Bethartoli
    Trisul
    Nanda Ghunti

    Great beginning.
Guesthouses- yes, as mentioned but there are many hotels (Ladakh Residency, Grand Dragon etc) that are open too.
    Waiting for more.
