On social media there are many such messages flashing that Telecom Companies are charging full charges on Hindu Festivals only.
Many are showing audio recordings asking some telecom operator about this issue.
But they never checked what is this issue and how it can be seen clearly ?
This issue is called "BLACK OUT DAYS" in technical term in telecom line.
Check this:
According to TRAI directions only 5 BLACK OUT Days can be declared when no discounted sms will be allowed.
Telecom companies should declare it clearly on their website.
You can check this in various player's websites.
It can be locally different in practice.

This shows Govt's own company is charging more on Hindu Festival.
I have many sims from Airtel, Vodafone, Aircel, Idea.
These companies charge more on some other days too.
Means more than 5 days they are charging extra without much notice.
On Eid also I have received some messages for normal sms charges.
But now issue is open they can be asked about why they are charging extra.
Now the issue is SMS is not anymore important.
Whatsapp etc are making dent in this market.
No more SMS are much valueable.
But some issue creators are putting false information on social media for their hatred interests.
Beware of such wrong info !
