To decongest Terminal-3 of Kempegowda Bus Station, the departure platforms will be modified from 01-04-2019. The services operated from Platform-09; 12 and 13 of Terminal-3 towards Ananthpura, Chikkaballapura, Bagepalli and Gowribidanur/Hindupur/ Mantralaya/Puttaparthi respectively, will be shifted and operated from Terminal – 2A.

Modified front portion looks very nice compared to other celeste buses from orange, sharma etc.

Srihari,
I do not see a difference from the rest of the celeste buses except for the P logo missing:
Orange Travels - Volvo B11R Celeste Premium Sleeper (Exteriors)

Another addition to Namma Premium Fleet!
'Ambaari Dream Class'

Volvo logo is prominently placed in Ambaari Dream Class. This may be due to the fact that order by KSRTC is to Volvo India and directly not to SMK - Prakash.
Other operators had placed order on SMK - Prakash directly.

Asian B9r Vellore-Bangalore

Another overnight call. As usual booked in Asian. Reached boarding point at 06.55 AM. Pax were waiting mostly far Hebron. The first bus to cross was KBS Sleeper it didnot had any pickup so he flew away. From Bangalore side Asian B9r came first it had a pickup at Vellore so stopped meanwhile RKK Ishift overtook him, RKK didnot have any pickup or drop so he too didnot stop. By 07.20 Am came the Hebron B9r. That bus had some 10 pax from Vellore alone. By 07.40 came the Parveen B11r it had 2 pickups. One passenger arrived his bus is Evacay. By 08.00 am came my bus, the bus was running too late, the driver started to rip the beast, I was very tired and slept immediately, since the bus was running late he took a break at Vaniyambadi Sai Bhavan. After a 20 mins break started and ripped again by 10.50 reached Hosur. From here we got a KPN B9r for a company. Suprised to see that Old Kpn B9r stilll doing 100+. Our
driver didnot overtook him but just followed him. Eletronic City BETL tollgate is in complete Chaos all the vehicles trying to squeeze we finally got to come parallel to KPN B9r. Looks like our driver knew the KPN Driver, they had a chat about Election squad stopping Buses everywhere. The KPN Driver said his bus and Conti were both stopped for more than 30 mins in Sankagiri. Our driver replied our bus was stopped in Kanchipuram tollgate. Finally reached Marthahalli at 12.20 pm.

Few things learnt
1. The Election Patrol were stopping every Omni Buses. Heard that National travels was stopped more than 2 hours from Bangalore to Chennai during Night. The Driver said even Koyambedu Vegetable Trucks too stopped for inspection, there was heavy traffic in early morning from poonamallee.
2. Heard from KPN Driver last night he was stopped at Zuzuwadi itself, Kallada Sleeper, Royal Sleeper was the most
affected last night.
3. Heard from Agent that Evacay is the best in Timekeeping.
4. Sad to see Hebron which operated 10 buses to Bangalore now narrowed to just 2 Buses.

Verdict
1. Depsite running late by 45 mins still the driver managed to reach only 15 mins late the last drop.
2. The Bus was neat and clean as usual no complaints. Service is good.

Short reviews of my recent trips:

HOSUR - CHENNAI BY EVACAY MERCEDES BENZ SEMISLEEPER

Deaprture-Hosur (Sch / Act) : 11.20 pm / 11.32 pm

Arrival-Velacherry (Sch / Act) : 4.30 am / 3.45 am

Got the new mercedes semi sleeper KA01 AJ 3636 of evacay. Booked LHS first row window seat and the leg space was good. The bus was neat and clean with well behaved professional crew. Bus arrived to the pick up point with a delay of 10 mins (not bad considering a Sunday) and departed by 11.32 pm and cruised into the highway. Then after the drive was very fast with overtaking each and every vehicle on sight, yet the ride was completely smooth without any rash maneuvers / sharp cuts / sudden lane changes and absolutely sleep friendly. Kudos to the driver for his driving skill. There were no breaks in between and reached a fuel station just before CMBT by 3.20 am. Had a fuel break for around 10 mins and dropped the passengers in CMBT by 3.30 am and proceeded towards velacherry. Dropped off in madhyakailash by 3.45 am. Overall highly recommended for their professionalism in each and every segment of the service.

CHENNAI - COIMBATORE BY YBM VOLVO SEMI SLEEPER DAY SERVICE

Deaprture- Perungalathur (Sch / Act) : 10.30 am / 10.36 am

Arrival-Bhavani by pass (Sch / Act) : (Cbe - 6 pm) / 4.37 pm

With the current sleeper dominated market even for day services, YBM recently introduced Volvo semi sleeper day night services in Chennai - Coimbatore & Madurai stretches boldly and these services were in my radar for quite sometime. Had to travel to my hometown near erode from chennai and booked in Coimbatore day service without second thought. As usual booked LHS first row window seat and the bus arrived at 10.37 am against the schedule of 10.30 am at perungalathur. Again the crew was polite and friendly. The bus interiors and exteriors were in great condition being a brand new bus. Half litre water bottle with a snack box and blanket was already in my seat. The bus had pick ups almost at every boarding points till villupuram and the occupancy was full. The drive was fast like the usual YBM style, the usage of horns till tindivanam was slightly on the higher side but unavoidable in day services considering the two wheeler traffic especially. Bus entered Villupuram city for pick up around 12 pm and stopped for lunch at Balaji Aryas around 12.45 pm. The hotel had clean restrooms and the food quality was also decent. The journey resumed after 20 mins and the bus was covering distance swiftly than the first leg of the journey and reached salem by 3.40 pm for dropping few passengers and stopped for bio break at sankagiri toll by 4.05 pm. The journey resumed quickly by 4.12 pm and dropped off at bhavani by pass by 4.37 pm, which means the bus would have reached Coimbatore certainly before 6~6.15 pm, which is punctual for a day service. Again a recommended and reliable service.

Got an interesting piece of info last week. The Speed Legend of Tirunelveli-Chennai is entering into sleeper segment by next month and the TN 74 AC series have gone for sleeper conversion already. Any updates on this guys???

Good reviews Travel lover.
You were lucky to have travelled by that SHD because many had tried and missed!

The speed king or "White Ghost" was already talked about many years ago for this diversification but nothing had materialised though !

Really, now only one service is running, this ac SERIES IS 180 hp bus, if converted to ac sleeper then it will struggle to maintain its semi sleeper days speed, but i doubt, now whether they are seriously in to the passenger bus or cargo business. bus maintenance is poor, interiors are pathetic, all lights witout cover and hanging led, rhs first window constantly shivering for months no attention to provide clean interiors. to top it week days 500 rs fare so one can expect how it will be

Spotted more than 15 Scania mounted on trailers in midnight near Dapchari RTO (GJ -MH) heading towards south.
All were in not used conditions for so many days.
