Vignesh TAT, one of the fast-growing bus operators in South India, has put on road the first four units of the all-new Tata 1822 bus in Tamil Nadu. The Tata 1822 bus comes with a gross weight of 17,800 kg and wheelbase of 6,925 mm. Built on the Tata LPO 1822 bus chassis, the vehicle is ideal for tourist and intercity applications. Powering the vehicle is a 5,635 cc six-cylinder Cummins B 5.6 L engine, driven by diesel fuel, producing a maximum power of 220 HP and a maximum torque of 850 Nm.

Doing the transmission duty is a six-speed (6 F+1 R) gearbox with Weveller air suspensions in the front and rear offering superior ride comfort to passengers. The bus is equipped with air brakes that take care of driver and passenger safety. At 13.5 m, the vehicles deployed by Vignesh TAT are in premium AC sleeper configuration with 36 berths, backrest, individual LED TV for each berth with spacious legroom. Vignesh TAT was founded in 2016 as a brand driven by innovation and technology by its Managing Director Vignesh Marimuthu who is an MBA from London.

In 2019, the company’s fleet stood at 46 vehicles including buses of multiple brands, all of which were plying as premium sleeper coaches with individual TV, air suspension and luxury interiors to deliver a fantastic travel experience for passengers.
