Want to Buy my First car... help me to get solved.

I have an Ecosport , diesel Titanium +

Brought it two years back.

Brought it for two reasons :

1) fits in my budget

2) All the cars that I saw in my budget ( i dont know about Scorpip, since I never checked it out) , Ecosport felt most sturdy.

3) My uncle (Chacha) had an accident while he was driving Ecosport and and he came out with 0 bruises. My chachi (aunt) and two cousins aged 9 and 6 were also in that car. I closed my search for a safe vehicle then and there.

My wife uses it for city commute for going to her office, to and fro.

We use it ( maybe "used" it is the most apt word now, since I am not sure if we will be taking it for long tours now) for long tours too and never had any problem with the car.

Has everything that you have menetioned, except, the model that I have has 6 airbags.

I once took my parents to Jhansi , there is a shaktipeeth there, Peetambra Devi , from lucknow.

The next day when we came back, after a journey of 350+ kms (one side), none of us were tired or fatigued in any manner.

I love the car.

Ford has service centres all over the country.

Have had some problems with the service, but then, nothing that a complaint through proper channel cant solve.

There is just one drawback that I have faced in the car, the A pillar creates a blindspot while driving sometimes.

Has lots of space for luggage, and we can carry lots of stuffs including that of my dog's in it.

Yes, he is also quite fond of rides in a car.

I feel quite safe in the car and the reasons that I wanted to buy this car , I have listed above.

While the best way to avoid any unfortunate incident is to drive safe, its better to be in a car that is safe too.

I always wear seat belts, and I also make everyone sitting at the backseat too, to wear seatbelts too.

Maybe I am too cautious but I can't help it.

Oh, I had forgotten all about the Ford Ecosport. Excellent vehicle, highly recommended. I have a Ford too, and very happy with the build quality and service.

Tata NEXON.
Safety - 5 Star rated

There may be little ownership niggles but the comfort to drive it cancels all that.
I have 2 friends who purchased Diesel Nexon and are happy about it.

Over to this my friend [who owns and drives Petrol Honda City / Hyundai Getz] during Lockdown hired self driven cars to drive Tata Nexon Diesel XM to drive between Bangalore-Belgaum and return. He was amazed with the pick-up and the way it handled speed breakers.

So drive both Diesel and Petrol Nexon to decide your choice.

Even Renault Duster with 1.5L Petrol [106 PS / 154 N-m] is good option to look at. Suspension is much better than Creta or Seltos [113 PS/144 N-m]. I agree you may not get to see good features in Duster but the mechanicals offered way above the competitors.

Nissan KICKS with 1.3L has the highest Petrol Power and Torque [156PS / 254N-m] in the segment but B-pillar obstructs for easy ingress and regress. It is only comfortable for kids or people with height less than 5'4".
For elders it is going to be a problem to get into the Rear seat.

My dear friends

I am car & bike maniac, car & bike lover, traveler. I own RE classic 350 which is my first bike and i enjoyed that bull very much. Now, become a responsible person in family i want to buy a new car(suv) which full-fill my basic needs like ( rear seat space with nice legroom, infotainment system, ground clearance, nice ride-ability, & most imp -- better suspensions for less feel of spot wholes ). I desperately research on SUV everyday but unable to make one decision about those. Material quality is average then its ok for me.

I want in SUV -

- 5 seater (7 seater would be a advantage for me)
- petrol engine
- i hate under power engines.
- nice ride quality with good suspension setup for sudden blind spot wholes.
- infotainment system
- AC (manual / auto)
- Only manual transmission
- daily commutable in City to City traffic.
- ABS/EBD/Traction Control - 2 airbags
- Thick Tyre for better road grip ( I don't want me to think while turning on sharp turn like ghat section).
- apple & android auto car play.
- build quality (safety first)
- good headlight visibility at night.

and please suggest if i am missing some point which are usable.

Thank you

Innova Crysta is not SUV by the way! It is MPV
Well most of the SUV's are Psedo SUVs'.
Thanks to Renault for creating a new class and all manufacturers are following them.
