There is nothing like a retail chemist store at a good location.
Best part for retailers is they get products frm wholesalers on loan ( udhaar basis), where as 90% of their sales r in cash.
This model is directly opposite to whole sales.
Gone r the days when a few wholesale druggist had monopoly on branded pharma houses.
Now a days U'll find plenty of whole sale houses in a small town who r sharing same branded pharma houses.
It's a pressure cooker situation for them.always on their toes and then at mercy of retailer for their payments.
Khaandani / phustaini whole sale business hei tho theek hei.
But
Better to enter retail market than whole sale market.
Being a doctor I know about profit margins in retail pharma industry.
It's a win win situation.
Only catch is find a great location.,to start ur show.

I want to open a medical store in Kolkata..I have space and license... so i need to know what will be the product cost to open it? means how much percentage i will get from whole-sellers? and in total approximately how much money i need to open a store?

It all depends on where you are going to open your shop.
10-20 Lakhs is starting amount. After 6months or so you will get idea what is in demand and you have to pump more capital in it accordingly.
Get idea with any chemist of other area. He can help you procuring items.
Have you done any business earlier ?
Try to work on any shop first.
You will get better idea how to deal with customers and suppliers.
You can ask any chemist or via his known friends or relatives to work at his shop for few months.
Or
Get an experienced salesman from other shop by advertising for your shop.
He will tell you all required and your set up will be ready in few months.

I don't have friend/known person, who run a medical store.

Ask people,
Your neighbours, friends, may be some shop owners whom you goto regularly.
Or
Post an adertisement in local newspaper for salesman required at chemist shop.
This way you can get an experienced sales person to work on project.

I want to open a medical store in north or west delhi.I m D.pharm with registration in Delhi.I have exp. of medicines.Please suggest me a good location in delhi where i can open the shop.The sale must be around 10k daily but no area where dis. is given by otheer chemists.Email:[email protected]

Near most big hospitals, you can try. But you have to be at prime location too. Calculate accordingly.
DDU Hospital in West Delhi is good place.
Fortis, Shalimar Bagh is also a good place to start.

Thank you very much sir for your suggestions I always welcome suggestion.But I dont want any franchise bcoz I cant afford it.Fortis hospital is tied up with Religare pharmacy.I want to open chemist shop at such a market where there are clinics and hospitals.And discount system is not there.where I can afford shop on rent and still manage to earn good profit.Please suggest me some place I am sure there will many such places.
