    Hello friends,

In this travelogue I shall share my experiences (+/-) on the trip... As many people have already completed above trip, but i hardly found any detailed travelogue. (pardon me if i skipped some log)...

So, after lots of thought I decided to take my leave, as it was approximately 10 months before i took any vacation.

Though I applied for leaves 3 week before, but its not easy to get the same.

As i had only 3 days in hand, also need rest to join office on Monday i.e. 16/04. I started thinking possibilities , i took advice from our guruji (arshad) who gave lot of good option and finally fixed on dhanaulti (hotel satkar)... Room was booked earlier by transferring initial amount as this is long weekend so i already prepared my mind for rush and congestions...

In order to avoid rush, we started from home (Vikaspuri, Delhi) at around 3:45 am, car petrol tank and air check already completed on 13th night.

It was a smooth drive we paid only one toll of rs 75/-, till 7 km before Roorkie where we encounter first congestion at that time was 6:00 am(approximately), with the help of local plus Google baba maps we (and many vehicles) took detour through village and paddy fields.. we skipped any halt for food till Haridwar . We reached Haridwar around 7:00 am...roads till Haridwar is a mixture of good n bad , sometimes it becomes one way sometimes it becomes two way sometimes it becomes butter smooth (specially toll road) sometimes it can digest your Stomach food without doing anything.

Now its time to move towards dhanaulti (it was my first attempt towards this place) a google maps operates wonderfully here with little bit help from locals specially where roads splitting into two or three ways...

IT WAS JOURNEY THOUGH HILLS WITH LOTS OF TWISTS APPROXIMATELY 110 KM (hotel satkar) ....so be prepared for motion sickness and nausea

We reached dhanaulti around 1pm and the hotel is right on the road... So there is no chance anyone can skip that.

As we already booked the same in advance , unfortunately hotel owner Mr. Deepak was not in town due to some family marriage..

If u wants to enjoy view of Himalayas book only 110, 111,112, the rooms are spacious are on first floor can accommodate easily 3-4 people..

After some rest we sit on the balcony to enjoy the view and fresh air... Temperature was around 15-17 degree... We spent almost 1hr and then decided to order the food.

Food was served which is not so expensive.. and around 4pm we decided to take a walk to eco park which is hardly 1km away from hotel...

    THINGS TO DO IN DHANULTI...

    1. Person who is traveling to dhanaulti first time pls make up your mind that it's for lazy weekend only nothing else, you can sit in balcony and enjoy the view.

    2. There is hardly any shopping mall and restaurants ...

    3. On the way to hotel there is one famous temple

    4. Then after that eco park 2 where u can see potato farming

    5. There are few camp sites too for children to enjoy.. (which we skipped).

    6. Eco park 1 (which is neatest to hotel) made on hill . Its simply a track of 1-1.5km, Once you reach on top you can enjoy the scenery and beauty . This park ticket is rs 20/- per head.

That's it, nothing much you can do here.. this place is specially for lazy weekend.

At around 5:30 pm, We came back to hot hotel and order for some pakode along with tea......

We again enjoy view from balcony.. and it was getting cold.. i gave my woolen clothes to my mother to maintain her body temperature... Since we reached hotel she was on bed (due to excertion).. we enjoyed late evening with some tv...inside our room. As the rooms 109, 111,112 were now accommodate by males ( and you can easily smell the odour of wiskey on the balcony...

So, went for sleep around 10:00pm..but as hotel located at road so can easily get disturb due to movement of traffic..till the time you get lost in deep sleep.

We wake up around 5:30am and enjoy the chilliness in wind from hotel balcony.. I wanted to see the sun rise which can be seen right from the balcony...

After few snacks and tea , we decided to move to see tehri dam and enjoy water sports..(but it all went in vain)

We paid 2000/- with stay of one day, which includes food for three times along with tea and snacks...

Some pointers to hotel( as everyone has +/- view for same things) no offence to anyone..

    1. There is no doubt that location of hotel WONDERFUL..

    2. But room service is pathetic..i need to go every-time to Reception for ordering food , no intercom nothing..(the answer to this they had provided is many staffs on leave due to marriage plus due to weekend all rooms are booked and its scarcity of staff )

    3. Drinking of liquor must be stopped inside hotel as it make others specially a family people un-comfortable...

    4. Needs to work on hygiene specially on kitchen , utensils in which food served..

    Rest nothing..

The price in which i got the room is good.( Thanks to arshad)
