Hello everybody,
GM. I am from Ahmedabad and have planned to tour Ladakh from May 21st to 27th and then reach Manali on 28th by Road along with my family.
Pl let me know whether the roads will be opened at that time or not and what all precautions to be taken for travel.

Hi BCMers... I am planning a trip to Mana with my wife in mid June. We are planning to leave Delhi, go via Bijnor up to Rudraprayag, then on to Badrinath and Mana, with a stopover for a couple of days at Valley of Flowers. Could you suggest the best routing, places to stay, fuel pit stops etc?

Hi Adittya,

From Delhi you may take first stop at Lansdowne which is around 250 kms. or if you are starting early you may stretch till Pauri which is about another 100 kms. or so from Lansdowne. Night halt and next morning from there you can continue your ascend towards Joshimath finally reaching Badrinath.

Dont forget to have tea at India's last tea shop in Mana overlooking River Alaknanda.!

There are many options to stay in Lansdowne or Pauri finding one will not be a cumbersome task. However you might not get a resort type/luxury stay in Pauri but there are many budget options available at both the locations.
