congs and all that. I did find this article quite handy , suggested to some and most have liked it. Mostly works for D7000 too. Helps to avoid reinventing the wheels, burning fingers etc. etc.

Also read up and use the "AF fine tune ". You will probably be surprised about the magnitude of front/back focusing issue, pleasantly surprised that is , as now you can rectify it. One more reason and very important reason for getting a D7XXX body. Modern, high MP sensors mercilessly expose the minute off focus

D5 and D500 have introduced an unique way to adjust the PDA back/front focus by using the live view. That will make life easy.
