Since, you plan to travel for a long period of time, getting a dedicated device would be a wiser choice.
Garmin has a GPS device for motorcycles named Zumo. Please check.

HERE maps are available for Android as well these days. Fully offline and free (Not sure for how long as it seems to be sold to a consortium of german automobiles) .
