जोशीमठ आज जिस त्रासदी से गुजर रहा है है, वैसी ही त्रासदी Joshimath के ठीक सामने बसे चाईं गाँव में साल 2007 में आ चुकी है. यह गांव विष्णुप्रयाग जल विद्युत परियोजना के चलते भू-धंसाव की चपेट में आया था जो जय प्रकाश कंपनी द्वारा बनाया गया है. इस गांव की स्थिति को देखते हुए 'जोशीमठ बचाओ संघर्ष समिति' ने सालों पहले ही राज्य से लेकर केंद्र सरकार तक को ज्ञापन दिए थे और चेताया था कि जोशीमठ में भी चाईं जैसी स्थिति होने की प्रबल संभावना है. लेकिन इसके बावज़ूद भी जोशीमठ के लिए कोई ठोस कदम नहीं उठाए गए और नतीजे आज सबके सामने हैं. #uttarakhand #joshimath #disaster
