Will there be any more scenic drives left?

    We have forgotten about Nature & take it for granted. See the havoc it has created in Kerala now.

    We need to preserve our forests. We need to preserve scenic drives. Else travelling will be reduced to moving from the mall of one city to another city's mall.

    The road from Chandigarh to Manali used to be a pleasant drive. now it's full of traffic jams and most of the time you see these machines digging the hills for either widening the road, or for building yet another construction next to the road. All you see in your drive is dust, debris, construction, traffic jams.

    A mountaineer friend of mine says every year, he has to go about 5 km further away to find peace and untouched landscape. After a few years, we will run out of KMs.
