We definitely needed fuel.
Tandi was the only place, after that some 360km or so, there is no fuel.
and guess what, the on line system of the petrol pumps was down,
so with a jam here and no petrol, we waited,
then someone told us there is fuel short of Keylong.
So we headed off,
Keylong was 9.5 km ahead.
we got diesel, but as of now no petrol,
we were told in a month of two the petrol section will also start operations.

So finally that board (last fuel station before leh) near Tandi can be finally replaced, being from himachal i can assure you dont think from a traveller's point of view, just think about Keylong and its residents, Keylong is the distt HQ and it does not have a fuel station, they have to go back 9.5 kms just to top up, this is good news not only for travellers but also for people of Keylong.

Nice update with beautiful pictures and information. The play of light and shade on mountain (peaks) during sunrise and sunset is magical! Great work capturing those moments.. =D>

Day 4
18 Aug 2021

Kolong Retreat to Padum.

After a good hot breakfast, we were off.
Excitement was for crossing Shingo La,

But first lets check in at the police post at Darcha just after the bridge,
Now the new bridge is ready so the police post is after the bridge.
